1792	Granted captaincy of his own company within the Guards Youngest sibling and brother George is born. Father dies of illness. Recieves last letter after news of promotion reaches home.
1794	Serves in Battle of Beaumont Moved to the 42nd (Royal Highland) Regiment of Foot
1795	Promoted to Major by Lieutenent-Colonel Robert Taylor for actions in France.
1796	Given command of a division in the 95th Regiment of Foot Lavinia is married. (The events of Frogs and Lobsters aka The Wrong War) Battle of Muzillac during the Expedition of Quiberon Bay
1798	Serves in Irish Rebellion: Early May- Reports to Ireland by request of 1st Viscount General Lake Mid May- Reunites with the 5th Regiment of Dragoon Guards June 1st- Battle of Bunclody June 7th- Battle of Antrim June 20th- Battle of Foulksmills June 21st- Battle of Vinegar Hill Promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel by General Sir John Moore for actions during Rebellion. Reluctantly accepted.
1799	Returns to 95th Regiment of Foot, where General Coote Manningham begins to take notice of his revolutionary tactics and strategery
1800	Experimental Corps of Riflemen formed based on the methods tested out by Edrington with his various companies, particularly the 95th. Recieve first orders to aid in Attack on Ferrol four months after formation [Wearing of the Green Verse:] Meet Stephen Maturin in Port Mahon.
1801	Battle of Copenhagen aboard the HMS Elephant with Nelson (April) Given the letter that he has been given promotion to Colonel (June)
1802	Promotion to Colonel officiated in January, retroactively effective since the June letter Peace of Amiens begins Experimental Corps of Riflemen moved to Shorncliff for training with Manningham Corps renamed 95th Rifle Brigade and earns its nickname "The Rifles" from Light Brigade under Moore.
1803	War resumes, but ordered to keep the Rifles remaining in Kent. Given orders to land near Boulogne and assess the beginnings of the amassing of French troops.
1804	Promoted to Brigadier
1805	Called to Plymouth by Major-General Rowland Hill under Moore. Informed of the France's presence in the Spanish parts of the Caribbean. Plans begin to attack Santo Domingo. [Nelson-Stewart Plot / Wearing of the Green Verse:] After seeing Junior Post-Captain Horatio Hornblower at the meeting, a proposal is made and accepted by Admiral Pellew and Moore to serve for 6 months preceeding the battle of San Domingo aboard the HMS Atropos to plan.
1806	Battle of San Domingo
1807	George joins the navy as a midshipman. [Nelson-Stewart Plot / Wearing of the Green Verse:] Serves aboard the Atropos after hearing about Horatio Hornblower and insisting it be with him.
